Watkins Farm Involved
Watkins Farm Community Topics:
1) Development of a common vision reducing community division and encouraging community participation.
2) Ensure that Watkins Farm exhibits a neighborhood appeal pleasing to both current and prospective residents.
3) Create a focus that puts community ahead of personal agenda.
Current Community Topics:
- Covenant Clarifications (Began March 8th, 2009)
- Community Request for Three (3) areas to be clarified in an HOA Meeting held March 8th, 2009:
1) Vehicular Parking and Screening
2) Minimum Landscaping
3) Accessory Buildings Definition - The ARC was asked to draft these clarifications and present to the HOA Board, several weeks went by with no drafts from the ARC. The draft clarifications were presented to the ARC for review and revisions. Once reviewed by the ARC they were presented to the Watkins Farm Community via a web page added to the Watkins Farm Community webite. The proposed timeline for review and implementation was added to the website so that the community knew what to expect.
- Webpage added to the community website for Community Review and feedback. Web Page
- The standing board misrepresented the context of the covenant clarifications as "changes to the by-laws" when the ballot was sent to the community. A community vote of ____For and ____Against for a total of 36 votes was again misrepresented as not having enough community votes for implementation.
- Email from board member stating that the covenant clarification vote was voted down based on less that 67% of votes to change the by-laws. Web Page
